For many of my students, the road to raw starts with simple-to-make healthy juices and some light green tea recipes like the ones in this section. Juices are packed full of nutrition and goodness. They preserve the concentrated vitamins and minerals contained in vegetables and fruit, and present them to your body in a way that allows rapid absorption – from the garden into your cells in less than 25 minutes. That's fast food!
Juicing has long been used as a method for rapid healing at clinics and health spas in almost every culture. Experts like Max Gerson and Norman Walker champion detoxification and and demonstrate miraculous healings. Quality juicers are ideal for extracting juices, but machines constructed especially for this task are expensive. I love mine and use it almost daily ...but I started experimenting with juices using a humble household blender. If you have a juicer, use it instead of a blender, but if you don't, I want to encourage you to try juicing. It's a great way to start evolving toward a raw living food diet.
